![]() I also found that I have to press "Scroll Lock" to disabe SweetFX before reloading a previous save or it does the same thing as startup. That will allow the game to start normally, then, once your game is loaded, press "Scroll Lock" to enable SweetFX. The only thing that crashes my game while on the loading screen is the Scenario pack. After I ran the game with the Required and Optional pack, I was able to load in but it crashed after about 5-10 minutes. Surprisingly, running the game with only the Required pack actually worked. I have only played GTA V since my last Windows install so I do not know if it will resolve any other SweetFX issues with other games.įor the laggy startup issue, open the "SweetFX" folder in your install folder, open the "Global_Settings.txt" file and change "#define ReShade_Start_Enabled" from "1" to "0". I thought of only running with one of those packs at a time. I hope this saves some folks the week of troubleshooting and research that it cost me. I am now running v.0.18.0 w/SweetFX 2.0 and K-Putte's preset. If this sounds familiar, try the fix below:ĭownload and install the "Platform Update for Windows 7" from here. ![]() I tried everything I could find on the internet, renaming dll's, numerous different versions of sweetfx, you name it and my game continued to crash at startup or just show a black screen with audio.
